Bio
Dr.C’s doctoral research focused on the evolution of Streptococcus pneumoniae following the introduction of pneumococcal conjugate vaccines in children,covering the areas of infectious disease,vaccines,epidemiology,and pediatric health.She continued to study pediatric health in her postdoctoral training at the Institute of Oral Health Research at the University of Alabama at Birmingham(UAB),where she focused on determining the role of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator in enamel formation.Dr.C also received a certificate in translational science as a Howard Hughes Med-into-Grad fellow,and she completed predoctoral clinical training at the UAB Center for Clinical and Translational Science.Her areas of expertise include infectious disease,public health,dentistry,and bacteriology.
